'SINTEL' Animated Short Film Clip
The original video is an open asset titled SINTEL, produced/provided by the Blender Foundation. All of the original audio from the SINTEL production was stripped away, and SFX, Dialogue, Vocals, ADR, Foley, Backgrounds, etc. were all done by me, following industry standard practices and workflow.
There was light work pulled from sound libraries for animal noises, but the vast majority of the audio clips used are original field & studio recordings collected by me for this production.
'11th Hour' Live-Action Short Film Clip
This footage is from a locally producer short film titled 11th Hour, and is not my content. All original sound was stripped away, and I reconstructed everything from scratch. This includes Foley, SFX, Music, DX/ADR, and Backgrounds.
No work was pulled from sound libraries, and all sounds (except for three production sound effects that were used as layers) were original audio recordings created/performed in studio.
Nuzzles & Co. 30-Sec Radio Spot
Wrote, directed, and edited a 30-second radio spot for a non-profit charity drive with local voice talent Will Ingram. Final product also included SFX, royalty-free music, and all relevant information delivered in accordance to USA radio non-profit guidelines. Deliverable was leveled to broadcast specifications, and aired on NPR affiliate station KPCW based out of Park City, UT.
I'm good friends with Aaron, the bassist in this talented local band. In conjunction with my schooling, (and just for fun,) I asked HASHA to visit me for some time in UVU's recording studio.
We recorded two tracks, and had a blast doing it. I acted as recording engineer, producer, and final mixing & mastering engineer. HASHA is truly a group of exceptional musicians with multiple decades of combined instrumental experience, and I think the results speak for themselves!
MOTIVE Choir - The Sound of Silence
MOTIVE is a 16 person Acapella Choir, I worked with them to record, edit, and deliver a collection of their 10 favorite performance pieces. This one is a cover of 'The Sound of Silence' by Simon & Garfunkel.
In February 2020 I was the recording engineer for Brandon Sanderson and a collection of other famous and well credentialed authors (Mary Robinette Kowal, Dan Wells, Howard Tayler, Shannon & Dean Hale) in the Season 15 production of Sanderson's critically acclaimed 'Writing Excuses' podcast.
We recorded for 16 hours over 2 days, and my responsibilities included setup/takedown, sound checks, troubleshooting, and quick fixes when things went wrong. I maintained good signal strength despite varied performances, minimized mastering work, and kept the technical aspects of the job from interrupting the creative flow of the hosts and their guests.
I managed the live recording mixer, took detailed notes of coughs, peaks, handling noise, etc. for the mastering engineer, and delivered all files each day to client specs.
Recordings of these episodes, as well as credits for my record engineering are included as hyperlinks on the right.
